Valerie Gurley received her Master’s in Counseling from Webster University, her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Winthrop University, and an Associate in Science Degree from Spartanburg Methodist College. Valerie is a Licensed Professional Counselor by the South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors and a certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor by South Carolina Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counseling, SCAADAC. Valerie is also certified in Prime for Life by prevention Research Institute, certified in Gambling Addiction by Counseling of Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, and is certified in Domestic Violence/Anger Management by Homestead Schools. She has passionately and faithfully worked in both counseling and substance abuse fields since 2015 in inpatient care, public and private treatment sectors. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Valerie’s believes that a person doesn’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.
