October is dedicated to acknowledging and promoting healthy mouths and teeth all across the country. We also want to celebrate our dental hygienist and the hard work they do to give you a bright smile and keep your teeth squeaky clean.<\/p>\n

Ways to Observe National Dental Hygiene Month<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n
    \n
  1. Floss every day<\/strong> – Flossing is something you should do every day. Brushing can’t take care of everything, and that’s where flossing comes in.<\/li>\n
  2. Brush twice a day for 2 minutes<\/strong> – Brushing your teeth helps reduce the chances that you will develop gum disease along with conquering morning breath.Flossing is something you should do every day. Brushing can’t take care of everything, and that’s where flossing comes in.<\/li>\n
  3. Use Mouthwash<\/strong> – Mouthwash shouldn’t be optional. Make it a practice to rinse with mouthwash after you brush and floss. The antimicrobial rinse will help keep your mouth clean and will also make your breath fresh.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Steps for Proper Brushing<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n
      \n
    1. Get the right angle<\/strong> – Tilt the brush at a 45 degree angle.<\/li>\n
    2. Get the motion down<\/strong> – Gently move the toothbrush back and forth.<\/li>\n
    3. Cover all surfaces<\/strong> – Brush inside, outside, top, bottom, and all around.<\/li>\n
    4. Brush your tongue<\/strong> – Bacteria lives on your tongue so be sure to brush that as well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
